Neuromodulators (Botox®)

Neuromodulators are injectable unique formulations of the Botulinum toxin type A that relaxes the muscles that cause dynamic wrinkles. These are wrinkles caused by facial expressions such as smiling, frowning or lifting up your brows. One of the most popular anti-aging treatments today.

How do neuromodulators work?

They (Botox®, Xeomin®, Dysport®, Jeuveou®, Daxxify®) temporarily alter the neural signals to the facial muscles preventing muscles to contract and producing muscle relaxation. When the muscles that produce the wrinkles relax those wrinkles relax as well, therefore the wrinkles improve or disappear depending on their severity.

What do they treat?
Neuromodulators soften existing wrinkles and also prevent the formation of new wrinkles. The following are the most common areas that are treated.

When will I see the results?
Results can be seen 2 days after injection and the full effect will be achieved after 2 weeks
How long does the treatment last?
Between 3 to 6 months depending on individual metabolism and product selection. Repeat injections are necessary every three to six months as the effects wear off. Daxxify® is the longest lasting neurotoxin.
Can I get permanent undesirable results from Neuromodulators?
Neuromodulators (Botox being the first on the market) are the most commonly used cosmetic treatment in the world with many decades of safety data. There are no permanent side effects reported.
