Dermal Fillers

About the Hyaluronic Acid

As we age our face loses volume over time causing deflation and sagging. We deflate like a balloon that loses air. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are designed to help plump your skin, restoring volume loss caused by aging and softening wrinkles. During your consultation we will discuss your goals and the type an amount of dermal filler that will be advised for your particular needs

FRECUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What conditions can fillers improve?
    1) Hollow tear troughs
    2) Nasolabial folds or smile lines
    3) Marionette lines
    4) Wrinkles around the mouth
    5) Lip plumping
    6) Cheek enhancement
    7) Acne scars
  • How do they work?
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that is present naturally in our body. So no allergy test is necessary before the treatment. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers replicate the body’s own Hyaluronic acid production to give fullness on the areas that they are injected. The gel is injected into the skin of the face, where it lifts and adds volume to smooth wrinkles and improve facial contour.

    5) Restylane Kisse®
    6) Belotero®
    7) RHA® collectio
  • How long will the results last?
The hyaluronic acid is naturally absorbed by the body and treatments need to be repeated for maintenance. They typically last around a year depending on the areas treated, the patient’s metabolism and the type of product.
  • Will it hurt?
The treatment is quick and well tolerated. We apply topical numbing cream prior to the filler injection to make the procedure more comfortable.
  • What will happen after the procedure?
You may experience slight swelling after the procedure and that may last a few days. Cold compresses can be used to diminish the swelling. Also as with any injection there is the possibility of bruising which can last from 1-7 days but you can cover it with concealer.
