  • How does Halo work?
Halo is the first and only dual wavelength fractional laser skin resurfacing. The laser beams will penetrate the skin at a predetermined depth eliminating micro columns of skin that over the course of the 2 weeks following the treatment will be coming off and be replaced by new collagen, new skin. You will see very tiny brown pinpoints been exfoliated from your skin. Those are the columns of old skin being replaced by new collagen. The depth and concentration of the treatment is customized precisely for each individual patient. That will be determined on your consultation with the Pielviva skin specialist.
  • What areas can be treated?
Any area can be treated with Halo Laser but the most common areas are the face, neck, denote, and hands.
  • How many treatments do I need?
Halo Laser is performed in two consecutive treatments 4 to 6 weeks apart. The effect of the second treatment will add to the benefits of the treatment before to achieve the best results.
  • What will happen during the procedure?
After your skin is clean , numbing cream is applied for 45 minutes. The numbing cream is removed prior to the beginning of the treatment and your eye will be protected with shields. During the treatment you may experience a warming sensation. A device that blows cold air will help you feel more comfortable.
  • Will it hurt?
Numbing cream is applied prior to the treatment to avoid any discomfort.
  • What should I expect after the treatment?
Your skin can be red and sometimes swell.
  • How long will it take to recover?
